love us hummus... and black bean sandwich
ok...i already ate it and i didn't take a pic...
I am ashamed to say how easy this is to make.
How many times I have bought hummus instead of making it?
Wow... anyway literally once you gather ingredients...
you just plop them in and push on.
I went for the simple but deelish version:
garbanzo beans, organic, 2 cans drained
fresh garlic, 2 cloves
lemon juice of one lemon
4 heaping Tbs of sesame tahini, organic
1 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp water
salt to taste
Started up the Ninja mixer and that is it!
My kind of simple, everything in one swoosh.
I heated the black beans a little.
Toasted some wheat bread and made a sandwich.
Served with xtrra hummus and red grapes and organic baby carrots on the side.
This I consider sort of a foundational recipe which I can add other things
to. Love the nuttiness of the tahini (like seseme butter).
I will try to list organic when applicable to any ingredients.
I dont eat everything organic but do when I have the reasonable option.
thankyou!

Tea
Made at home instead of drive thru. Organic Green mixed with decaf black. About 1 Tbs of sugar added.
Happy Birthday to me and to eating better...
I have been contemplating an eating blog for a while now.
Since tomorrow is my birthday I am going to start tomorrow.
I do not follow any kind of diet. I do not consider myself a "so and so".
My goal is to cook more and to make things that are used with
fresh ingredients and to not buy everything already made.
I think this will make my food taste better and it will be healthier.
I'm excited!
Trish
This is a picture of an orange peeled ready to enjoy.
So many times I do not think of healthy things like this
to satisfy my sweet cravings, but oranges are delicious.
Once I get it peeled in my ceramic bowl, it tastes so good.
